Sorry I haven't posted in a while, school started a few weeks back and I've been really busy.
While I'm thinking about school, might as well add some school-related stuff
When you get to class and you realize you forgot to do something:
When a teacher says "we have 5 minutes left, that's just enough time to cover this other topic"
When a teacher looks directly at you to see if you're taking notes:
Getting away with a wrong answer on a test (or homework):
And some non-school-related stuff:
I can relate^
I can relate^
I can relate^
I can relate^ "Kayla, go do something you hate. It builds character"
*moves to Japan*
Enough memes, time for some music suggestions:
Oh wait, one more:
Ok, now I'm done...
Song of the Week >> Laughing With - Regina Spector
"No one laughs at God in a hospital, No one laughs at God in a war, No one’s laughing at God, When they’re starving or freezing or so very poor"
This song has a very good point: it's easy to laugh at God when everything is going great and you haven't a care in the world, but when things are down to the line, no one is laughing at God.
Also check out:
Oblivion - Bastille
Lovely - Twenty One Pilots
Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse
I just finished this book last night. I love the author's writing style and up until the last few chapters its very depressing which creates a lovely atmosphere in my opinion. (It made me cry more than once which is weird because up until this point I had no idea my tear ducts even produced tears anymore ¯\(ツ)/¯ ) Something about the way she writes is so beautiful and artistic and expressive. Definitely one of my new favorite books.
That's all for now!
See you next week (hopefully!)

I guess I'll start with music because that's what's on my mind right now. Some of these are new songs I've found that I love, and some are old favorites.
1. Birthright - Sleeping at Last ft. Jon Foreman (lead singer of Switchfoot)
2. Bridges - Broods
3. Boston - Augustana
4. Atlas Eyes - Emma Louise
5. Anna Sun - Walk The Moon
6. Magic - Coldplay
7. Air Catcher - Twenty One Pilots
8. Helena Beat - Foster the People
9. The Lightning Strike - Snow Patrol
A few quotes I like:
- "Worrying does not take away tomorrow's troubles, it takes away today's peace"
- "Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinion. Their lives a mimicry. Their passions a quotation" - Oscar Wilde
- “Study while others are sleeping; work while others are loafing; prepare while others are playing; and dream while others are wishing.” - William Arthur Ward
Random thought: I start school next week :( ... every time someone reminds me, I'm literally just sitting there like
Depressing thought: Isn't it kind of funny that most people always set goals and that becomes necessary for their happiness. "It's simple. Once I finish school and get a good enough job to start and support my family, then I can kick back and enjoy myself." But in most circumstances, this doesn't happen until you're in your 30's - 40's. So while you spend all this time trying to build a pillow of support for yourself, you get too distracted to enjoy yourself and actually make memories with the people that you love (and vice versa). As soon as you finally accomplish this goal, you set your eyes on another. You miss out on the all the opportunities that come with being young and able as well. Isn't it sad...
The other day I worked on some photography (and editing) of some of my siblings eyes. Eyes have always fascinated me because they are so intricate and precise and also ineffably beautiful. So here are a few of the photos I took:
Also, can we please take a moment to appreciate Tom Hiddleston. Please. (Life goals: find someone with as beautiful a soul as his and marry them)

9. What picture describes what you consider a terrible date?
10. What picture describes where you want to be right now?
11. What picture describes where you want to be in 10 years?
That's all for now,
See you later :)

Hi! My name is Kayla and this is my new blog!
For starters, I am a 15 year old girl who loves sports, food, reading, fandoms, photography, tv, sleeping, and music (Some of my favorite artists are Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, the Killers, Sia, Walk the Moon, Bastille, and Lana Del Rey).
I'm also a big fan of Tom Hiddleston
I will be trying to post around once a week, posting photos, funny things I find on Pinterest, deep thoughts about life, etc, etc.
